10^th Leper is a Christian-based blues and blues-rock band. We play our music to listening ears all over Texas including incarcerated teens and adults in the Texas Detention System, half-way houses, and street ministries.

Our name "10^th Leper" comes from the bible in Luke 17:11-19, which in the World English Bible reads like this:

It happened as he was on his way to Jerusalem, that he was passing along the borders of Samaria and Galilee. As he entered into a certain village, ten men who were lepers met him, who stood at a distance. They lifted up their voices, saying, "Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!"

When he saw them, he said to them, "Go and show yourselves to the priests". It happened that as they went, they were cleansed. One of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, glorifying God with a loud voice. He fell on his face at Jesus' feet, giving him thanks; and he was a Samaritan. Jesus answered, "Weren't the ten cleansed? But where are the nine? Were there none found who returned to give glory to God, except this stranger?" Then he said to him, "Get up, and go your way. Your faith has healed you".

The members of 10^th Leper come from a wide variety of backgrounds. We all have different ideas on life and theology. Each one of us has our own troubled past. In fact, we feel as if when God saved us, He delivered us from a spiritual leprosy! That is why we continue to lift His name in our own unique way and style.

10^th Leper plays a very wide variety of musical styles - from Praise & Worship to blues, blues-rock to classic rock, alternative, and metal.  Our goal and our emphasis in every single concert is to use whatever styles we can master to get the attention of those listening in order let them know that Jesus is for THEM. Our music has picked up some interesting titles along the way such as blues-rap and pentecostal-rock. We will play nearly any style to get people to listen because we want them to hear the gospel message in our music. There is a common vein that runs through every single song we play which is the fact that Jesus came "to seek and to save" the lost souls of this world. THAT is what 10^th Leper is really all about!

Our Lord Jesus, being the God of Creation, gives us different types and styles of original songs and we are always amazed when He drops a new song on us. The interesting thing about 10^th Leper is that all members are song catchers. We get excited to see and hear some of the new tunes He gives us, and hope they bless you also!
