About Our Music

10th Leper plays a very wide variety of musical styles, from Praise & Worship, to blues/blues-rock, to classic rock, even some alternative rock.  Our music has picked up some interesting titles along the way, such as blues-rap and pentecostal-rock.  We will do nearly anything to get people to listen, not because we're desperate, but because we want them to hear the gospel message in our music.  And there is that common vein that runs through every single song we play, the fact that Jesus came "to seek and to save" the lost souls of this world.  THAT'S what 10th Leper is really all about!

One of our songs that illustrates the above is "It's Gonna Rain."  "It's Gonna Rain" is an old spiritual that has been sung in black churches for many generations, now.  When we first started singing it, we played classic blues style with piano and three-part vocal harmonies.  In the past year, though, we've completely revamped the beat, chord progression and instrumentals and given it a grungy, blues-rock sound.  This is one of our most popular numbers, and often has the audience on their feet, clapping and dancing.

Our goal and our emphasis, in every single concert, is to use whatever styles we can master to get the attention of those listening, and let them know that Jesus is for THEM.  As I said before, that's what 10th Leper is all about.
